## What KLA does

KLA develops equipment and services for the electronics industry, chiefly process control solutions for manufacturing wafers, reticles, integrated circuits, packaging and printed circuit boards (checked 2 September 2026). Corporate headquarters is in California, and in Israel the company runs two large sites it calls mega sites: Migdal HaEmek and Yavne.

Per its own site, **Migdal HaEmek** is a key centre for research and development and operations and a major manufacturing hub — birthplace of the Archer overlay metrology series, and home to the group that develops the robotic arms used across KLA's products. **Yavne** is the main R&D and manufacturing site for the PCB and Frontline divisions, where the company says more than half of the staff work in R&D.

The Israel careers page states plainly what is hired here: engineering, technical support and operations. Its Migdal HaEmek write-up names integration and systems engineers, algorithm developers, optics engineers, research scientists and software developers, alongside operations and supply chain.

## How hiring at KLA works

KLA runs [a dedicated Israel careers page](https://www.kla.com/careers/locations/israel), and applications go through Workday with an Israel filter. Roles are posted on LinkedIn too (checked 2 September 2026).

**Process stages: published, which is unusual.** On its How We Hire page the company lists six: application and review by talent acquisition; a first interview with the hiring manager; additional interviews, sometimes several rounds; an offer to the selected candidate; employment, education and background screening as local regulation permits; and the outcome communicated either way. If you are applying to KLA, read that page before the first interview.

**Employee referral program: not published.**

**Students and juniors:** there is an Emerging Talent program covering internships and entry-level new-grad roles, and the company notes many of its new-grad hires were previously interns.

## Why applying through the form is not enough

At KLA the gap is not only the length of the queue — it is comprehension. Semiconductor process control sits where optics, algorithms, physics and software meet, and a posting almost never manages to explain what a particular team actually does. Good candidates get filtered out here not because they don't fit, but because their resume talked about something else.

This is exactly the case where a person inside is worth more than better wording. As in [the post on referrals](/en/blog/how-to-ask-for-a-referral/), a referral does not skip interviews — it changes the channel, and sometimes the question. [A 2015 paper in the Quarterly Journal of Economics](https://academic.oup.com/qje/article-abstract/130/2/805/2331590) found referred applicants are hired at a higher rate even when their skills look similar.

## The right way to apply to KLA

1. **Find the exact role** in Workday, and note the site — Migdal HaEmek and Yavne are different worlds.
2. **Tailor the resume to it.** If the posting talks about metrology, image processing or optical algorithms, those words need to appear in your document where you have done them.
3. **Find one person inside**, at that site. A LinkedIn search on KLA plus the role title and the city, and alumni of your degree — at Migdal HaEmek that usually means the Technion and the northern universities.
4. **One short message:** who you are, which job, two pieces of evidence that you fit, and one request to pass your resume inside.
5. **One reminder** after five to seven days, then the next person.

Tagishoti does these steps: it finds matching roles, tailors a resume to each one, uses your connected LinkedIn account to identify who at the company could put you forward, and drafts the message. Nothing is sent without your approval, and there is no promise anyone will agree.

## FAQ: jobs at KLA Israel

### Where are KLA's sites in Israel?

Two: Migdal HaEmek and Yavne. A Tel Aviv site does not appear on the company's own pages — Yavne is described there as "just south of Tel Aviv", which is probably the source of the confusion (checked 2 September 2026).

### Does KLA hire students and new graduates?

Yes. The Emerging Talent program covers internships and entry-level graduate roles, and the company notes many interns move into full-time positions. In Israel it also describes scholarships and sponsorships to foster academic excellence in engineering.

### Do you need Hebrew to work at KLA?

KLA is an American company and work with sites and customers worldwide runs in English, so an English resume is the default. No formal language policy is published, and the actual requirement is in the posting.

### How long does the hiring process take?

The number of stages is published — six, on the How We Hire page — but the timelines are not. The company notes interview rounds can be several, in person or by video.
